Higher Certificate in Web and User Interface Design

Study the Higher Certificate in Web and User Interface Design Practice with Boston City Campus and gain an understanding of how digital interfaces are designed for real users.

This Higher Certificate introduces you to web and interface design principles and shows you how websites and applications are structured to support usability, accessibility and clear communication in South Africa’s digital environment. You learn how design decisions influence user behaviour and how digital products are planned and organised.

You develop practical skills in user experience research, interface design, layout, prototyping and basic front-end development using HTML and CSS. The qualification teaches you how to analyse audiences, map user journeys and translate ideas into functional digital designs.

This prepares you for entry-level roles in web design, UI or UX support, digital design or front-end support, and provides a pathway into further study through a Boston Diploma or Degree.
