With only 202,000 spots available in public institutions despite record-breaking 2024 National Senior Certificate (NSC) results, many matriculants face limited higher education options. The Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Communication not only develops critical strategic communication and business skills but also offers an accessible alternative to South Africa’s university placement crisis. Dr. Hendrik Botha, Head of Institution at Boston City Campus, emphasizes the institution’s commitment to expanding access to quality education through accredited distance learning. Unlike public universities, Boston does not impose additional admission criteria beyond the standard NSC with endorsement, ensuring that more students have the opportunity to enroll.
